    Overview

    TA Instruments is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our organization. In this role, the individual will be responsible for planning and coordinating Quality Operations which is designed to ensure TA products maintain the highest quality levels. In addition, the successful candidate will support Quality Management System which includes responsibility for leading investigations into product non-conformances, developing and reporting quality system metrics, managing the Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) systems and participating in Internal Quality Audits.

    Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to

    • Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals. Is responsible for ensuring compliance with appropriate quality standards and for providing direction and guidance to the business on needed changes for compliance.
    • Interprets quality assurance philosophy to key personnel in organization. Provides periodic updates to the business on quality activities.
    • Drives failure investigations to ensure root causes are found and appropriate corrective actions are implemented to prevent repeat non-conformances. 
    • Creates and distributes Quality metrics reports; supports and maintains quality databases and report Quality performance to the organization.
    • Manages the Corrective Action Reporting system and communicate results of root cause investigations to interested parties. Tracks performance of the CAR system and assist in getting defective material from the field to the CAR investigators.
    • Participates in Quality Roundtable meetings. Assure follow up tasks are completed 
    • Manages quality improvement projects to improve product quality.
    • Reviews records, procedures, work instructions, forms etc. to ensure that they are accurate, complete and compliant with the process and with the requirements of the quality management system / GMP.
    • Supports change management activities to ensure process changes are managed and approved effectively.
    • Conducts internal Audits to assure conformance to our ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
    • Sets up and maintains International Certificate database and documentation.
    • Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards. 

    The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • The qualified individual should have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree, specifically in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred), Mathematics, Business, Science, or technical field with emphasis on statistical skills.
      • Chemical, Electrical, or another Engineering degree will also be considered.
      • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
    • 0 – 2 years of previous quality assurance or manufacturing experience through a Co-Op and/or internship is preferred
    • Ability to work independently across multiple organizations
    • Superior leadership, facilitation, and communication skills
