Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to

  • Develops and designs visual communications/graphic design layouts of product brochures, marketing materials (both print & HTML) and package design to portray a high quality product image.
  • Determines size, color and placement of illustrative material and copy. Coordinates style and color for an overall consistent look and feel. Creates pre-press layouts for internal review.
  • Prepares and packages final layout and corresponding files for printer. Manages proofs, press checks and printing. Reviews quality of final product before release.
  • Collaborates with project teams to plan, organize and execute assigned projects. Prioritizes, tracks, handles, and maintains records of each projects, costs, and time schedule. Handles multiple projects.
  • Works with product managers and others as necessary to gain understanding of products, markets, and customers.

The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following

  • Knowledge normally acquired through completion of a four (4) year degree in Graphic Design, Art or related field and 1-2 years of design experience a plus.
  • Ability and skill to translate concepts and information into images; Use feedback to modify designs; Apply design principles; Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work activities and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively deal with customers, co-workers and vendors.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, (Flash & Dreamweaver a plus) to effectively and independently produce all Marketing materials. Experience using HTML, Macro Media Flash and other web based applications are highly desirable.
  • Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally and have a valid Driver’s license.
